Henoch grew up on a farm east of Fremont, WI. Frieda lived southwest of nearby Dale, WI.
Henoch bought his farm between Fremont and Readfield from Herman Krueger in 1925 and became a dairy farmer. He lived there the rest of his life, although he moved to a Weyauwega nursing home in his later years after suffering a heart attack and a stroke.
