Edward was born in Modlin, Poland. He was a carpenter. Wilomina was born in Reshevo, Poland.

Edward left Bremen, Germany on 20 February 1909 with his brother-in-law, Paul Peters, on the Gneisenau, and arrived in America on 3 March 1909. They stopped in Pittsburgh, PA to visit Karl Lowe. Edward lived briefly with Albert and Albertina Gessner at 2304 Lakeside Ave. in Cleveland, OH.

Albert, who was likely Edward’s cousin, was born in 1874, and Albertina was born in 1876. They came to America in 1906. They lived in Arthur Township, Clare County, Michigan in 1920.

The rest of Edward’s family came to America late in 1911. Edward’s brother, Karl, was his only other sibling to come from Europe. In 1920, Edward and Wilomina lived at 2198 W. 105th Street in a home they had mortgaged. In 1928, they lived at 3439 W. 63rd St. also in Cleveland. A year later, they lived at 1642 Victoria Ave. in nearby Lakewood, OH. Edward worked at Heck & Moon Construction Company.

Edward became a naturalized citizen on 27 September 1922. Wilomina was naturalized on 26 June 1936. They’re buried in Lutheran Cemetery in Cleveland.
