Henoch grew up on a farm east of Fremont, WI. Frieda lived southwest of nearby Dale, WI.
Henoch bought his farm between Fremont and Readfield from Herman Krueger in 1925 (the barn built in 1909 burned down in 2023) and became a dairy farmer. He lived there the rest of his life, although he moved to a Weyauwega nursing home in his later years after suffering a heart attack and a stroke.
